Heated iron wire stretches, rotates pointer.

Heated iron wire stretches, rotates pointer. An iron wire is stretched over 3 pulleys and is held taut by a weight. A variac varies the current passing through the wire,(and a ballast heater coil limits how much current can flow). The wire expands and lengthens as it heats up, moving the central pulley and pointer arrow. TEMPERATURE AND EXPANSION.
