Hexstat probability device.

Hexstat probability device. Hold the board vertically, upside down, until the 256 small steel balls fall into the reservoir. Turn the board over and hold it vertically with the bottom edge against the table until all the balls fall into the nine columns at the bottom. Numbers to the side of the columns indicate how many balls have fallen in each column. The heights of the balls in the vertical columns at the bottom form a bell-shaped curve, with the greatest height in the center column, and gradually decreasing heights in the outer columns. The probability curve thus formed is similar to that representing the distribution of velocities in the molecules of a gas. NOTE: This board is small, 6"x9", and would be more easily viewable by the class if a T.V. camera and monitor are used.
