Lantern slide projector with removable housing.

Lantern slide projector with removable housing This Bausch and Lomb lantern slide projector is constructed so that the cover can be removed. Light from the high intensity bulb is basically a point source. The concave mirror is a radius away from the bulb, so that it reflects light back to the bulb and intensifies the point source. The bulb is a focal length away from the condensor lens system so that the light is basically collimated when passing through the transparent slide. The light then passes through an achromat lens system mounted on an adjustable bellows, and the slide image is focused on a distant screen.
