Glass standpipes: Water flows through tube, heights vary.
Primary tabs
Glass standpipes: Water flows through tube, heights vary. This set of glass tubes has a uniform pipe at the bottom. The velocity of the water remains constant. Velocity remains the same throughout the bottom tube. But friction of the water in the tube causes some of the potential energy to be lost as heat. Thus the height of water becomes less the farther you get from the reservoir. FLUID DYNAMICS.
