Humidity: Hygrometers to show. For either device, water is put in the glass bulb. A wick extends from the water and covers the bulb of the 'wet' thermometer. The wet thermometer is fanned and evaporation takes place, cooling it. The temperature difference between the wet and dry thermometers determines the humidity of the air, using the supplied charts.
