Several containers of water can be prepared at either room temperature, in an ice bath, or actively heated by propane prior to class. When dye is added the dye will diffuse noticeably quicker in warmer water. If heat is used to prepare one container there is a convolving variable that the water in that container will be convecting.

If I add dye to these containers 1. The dye will diffuse much faster in the colder container than the hotter one. 2. The dye will diffuse much slower in the colder container than the hotter one. 3. The dye will diffuse in both containers at similar speed 4. The dye will not noticeably diffuse in either container.
