Demonstration of dependence of number of coils on induced flux

A laminated iron core is inserted into a large coil of 1532 turns. Two 6 Volt DC batteries are hooked up to the coil via a knife switch. Two separate wires are wrapped around the coil, one once ande one many times and they are connected to a projection galvanometer through either side of a reversing switch. When the single loop is connected to the projection galvanometer and the power is engaged the meter will deflect only slightly. When the wrapped loop is connected to the galvanometer and the power is engaged the meter will deflect almost to its full extent.
